Yorktown Memorial Hospital
Profile
Yorktown Memorial Hospital is located Texas and was built in 1951. It was ran by the Felician Sisters of The Roman Catholic Church. It closed its doors as a hospital in 1986, when it became a drug rehab facility until its total decommission in 1992. Today the building is private property, but is available for tours. It is reported to be highly active and very haunted.
It is said to be over-run with the spirits of the thousands who died in the hospital. The owner of the property reports that if the lights are on at the nurses’ station, all seems to be okay and calm. However, if he turns the lights off, he has observed many individuals walking around. Some appear to be normal and could possibly be described as guests. However, there are many that look as if they are patients that belong in a hospital. Additionally, a staircase is kept closed off in the front of the building by a door with a pane of glass. Each evening, it is said that it sounds as if there is a tapping or rapping on this glass pane.
Giant shadow figures, talking dolls, and glowing red eyes have also been reported by guests visiting the hospital. It is considered one of the most haunted place in Texas.
The property is privately owned, and trespassing is prohibited. You can book a paranormal tour by giving them a call or visiting their Facebook page.
