So Good I’m Bad Aug 12 2013 Village Tavern
Being new to the open mic, I had no intentions of playing more then “a couple” songs when we were suddenly asked,”play another one”!! Ill prepared, I scrambled to figure out what to do when a young lady (by the name of Lynda) yelled out “Play The “Candy” Song”!! A rather “Leon Redbone” slash “1930’s” sounding tune that’s left to the “listeners interpretation” as to it’s lyrical content!
Apologies for the “Glitch” but that’s what ya call “Live” folks, LOL!! This is one of my four original songs slotted for a 4 song demo CD, sure hope you enjoy!!
Lyrics:
Ya got the Juke Joint Mama, want’n to, kiss you sweet
Give you taste of honey, baby let me be your treat
I’m not like any candy you’ve ever had
I’m a melt in your mouth mama
So Good I’m Bad
How’s about a taste of some sweet delight
Whisk you up a batch baby, yeah, it’s out of sight
I’m not like any candy, you’ve ever had
I’m a melt in your mouth mama
So Good I’m Bad
Now you’ve heard my offer baby, you know it’s true
Ain’t nobody else’s sugar, honey, sweet enough for you
I’m not like any candy, you’ve ever had
I’m a melt in your mouth mama
So Good I’m Bad!!
