Crawford Road is rife with a history of hauntings. From horrible lynchings to hundreds of car accidents, where often one driver or the other would lose their life, to an unhappy bride hanging herself from the bridge. Surrounded by a lush forest, Crawford Road bridge sits secluded in the Virginia forest right near the coast. There have been a handful of stories of people driving near this bridge and their radio acts up, followed by what sounds like shrieking and wailing until the driver is far enough away from the bridge.
There is also an abandoned house somewhere nearby in the woods that has no doors, and people who have managed to find the house have reported hearing whispers, cold spots, and even seeing a pair of red eyes peering from one of the doorways that watch you until you get too close, which causes them to disappear.
Go at your own risk. It is not on private property as far as we know, but there is virtually nowhere to park. Bring plenty of light and extra batteries.
