This song is an homage to the Celtic mysticism of the feast of Samhain – the predecessor to Hallows’ Eve which became Halloween – when the veil between our realm and the spirit realm is at its thinnest. Crafted by Newfoundland performers and Ontarian pirates, the song uses East-coast sounds to invoke the ethereal sounds of old world mythology.
It tells the story of a lonely boy with ‘the sight’ (an ability to see ghosts with his activated third eye) who finally ran from home, and through the veil, to dance with his friends on the graves.
It also tells the story of a little girl who witnessed her older sister summoning a dark entity to ask questions, and being seduced by its promise of wonders.
