Burwash Prison – Haunted? (Hold on to the end for a special message)

A provincial jail called Burwash Prison housed anywhere from 180 to 820 inmates during its history.The crumbling, foreboding Burwash Correctional Centre located in a remote part of Ontario, has been closed for nearly four decades, but it can still strike fear in the hearts of those few adventurers who dare enter its peeling corridors. So is it haunted?

There are an estimated 12-20 prisoners at Burwash Prison buried here, many of whom had no family to bury them properly. Perhaps the “Old Burwash Prison Ghost” was once one of these family-less, homeless prisoners … who still has nowhere to go?
