The horrific La Lechuza! The owl lady, bruja or witch who can turn themselves into birds. Stories of her sightings have stretched by mouth from mexico to many parts of the American Southwest. One story I heard was that if you hear an owl by your window when you go to bed, it is La Lechuza coming for your soul.
